Raidho

Sol Selectas delivers a Christmas gift in the form of a dazzling organic house EP by Raidho titled Ancient Worlds.

Raidho is a Polish artist who has frequented the Sol Selectas record label, and this is his third EP on the imprint. Once again, showing off his ability to combine immersive atmosphere and mesmerising melody.

The release includes three original tracks, alongside remixes from Guy Maayan and Giovanny Aparicio, both of whom are also Sol Selectas regulars.

Guy Maayan’s style has Middle Eastern influences, combining live instruments and melodic synths. Giovanny Aparicio combines Latin-inspired sounds with majestic melodies to create uplifting tracks full of organic textures.

“Ancient Worlds” is a delicate track with breezy synths dancing between the rhythms of shuffling percussion, and the breakdown is marked by sweeping, breathy pads.

“Anunnaki Whispers” has whispered vocals that cut through the moody atmosphere and rippling sounds of the immersive backing track, which is fuelled by tribal drum patterns.

“Oracle’s Vision” is last of the three originals, and it has electrifying pads that build in intensity, as the track unfolds over its plodding drums.

Guy Mayaan’s remix of “Anunnaki Whispers” focuses on the drums, and adds vibrant percussion to help transform the vibe of the track.

Giovanny Aparicio remixes “Oracle’s Vision” with a boost in tempo and prominent drums that cut through the soaring synths of the original.
