Kelly Cappuccio drops percussive indie dance single, “Chiquilla”

Kelly Cappuccio

Kelly Cappuccio’s new single Chiquilla is an indie dance track with Afro house influences.

Continuing to showcase herself to be a dynamic producer who makes a range of styles, this latest offering layers tribal drum rhythms and vocal chants with melodic synth chords.

Based in Naples, Kelly Cappuccio has used her foothold in the local club scene to springboard onto the international stage.

After spending years behind the decks, she made her first official release in 2024, and has been on a roll ever since.

This is a self-released single that’s out via DistroKid, but she has been building up quite the catalogue, including record labels such as Dirtyclub Music, VKT, Mad Circle, and 2Dutch Records.

There are three versions of “Chiquilla,” each of them has been produced by Kelly Cappuccio, and they all transform the track into a different style.

The ‘Original Mix’ opens the release, and it’s the most melody focused of the three versions. After a percussive intro, it introduces the melody and vocal, building suspense as it builds towards a melodic breakdown section where the vocal unfolds.

As you would expect, the ‘Techhouse Mix’ brings forth the bassline, and streamlines the structure to maximise dance floor appeal. Last but not least, is the ‘Afrobeat Mix,’ which is the rawest and most percussion focused.
