Tamer ElDerini releases new organic house EP, “Kalam”

Tamer ElDerini

Tamer ElDerini releases his new four-track EP, Kalam, which is out now on Sol Selectas.

Sabo’s record label, Sol Selectas is a beacon of light within the organic house scene, as it often leads the way, by pushing musical boundaries and discovering fresh talent.

This is not the first time that Tamer ElDerini has featured on Sol Selectas, but it is the first time he has had a release all to himself, as his previous outings on the imprint had been tracks on compilations.

Hailing from Egypt, Tamer ElDerini’s music combines ancient Middle Eastern melodies and traditional Egyptian instruments with contemporary modern sounds. He has been an ambassador for Egypt’s electronic music scene, and has also featured his music on other prestigious record labels such as • kosa •, Cosmic Awakenings, and Pipe & Pochet.

“Kalam” is the first track, it has ancient Egyptian vocals, and a kanun solo, layered with melodic synthesisers.

“Baladoka” is a progressive house track with a boosted tempo and emotive vocals, combining with a traditional string instrument, and a snake-charming flute in the breakdown.

“Lotus” is nomadic organic house, with a jerking groove and flourishing trumpets that radiate warmth throughout the track.

“Manazel” is a downtempo track, layering Egyptian strings and spellbinding vocals with a chugging bassline.
