Namito is back on Sol Selectas, and this time he is working in collaboration with Sabo and Shamoun. The trio have produced a captivating organic house single called “Spicy Sumac,” which also features an Afro house remix by Silvano Del Gado.
Sabo is owner of the Sol Selectas record label, and Shamoun is a talented musician who brings a Middle Eastern influence to the single.
“Spicy Sumac” is a moody track that combines trippy atmosphere with organic drums and a snake charmer style melody. The track puts the listener into a hypnotising trance, as it combines mystical atmosphere with a swaying bassline.
It is a techy track that’s darker than much of Namito and Sabo’s solo output, but together they have decided to explore different moods.
Namito’s music often taps into his Iranian heritage, combined with the electronic music culture of his adopted home in Germany. Sabo is a globe-trotting American artist whose music often takes influence from the different cultures he has experienced.
Silvano Del Gado is an Italian artist who has a percussive style, and he adds extra drums to his remix of “Spicy Sumac,” but keeps the snake charming melody, which gives his version a spellbinding sound. He teases the melody in the early sections of the track before letting it take hold after the main breakdown.
This is a very unique organic house release that has a groove which could also overlap into minimal or tech house.
