There’s a reason Becker’s productions have picked up serious support without ever feeling like they’re chasing it. His Intergalactic EP, out now via Frame Music since late August, is three tracks of exactly that kind of quietly confident club music.
Opener “Intergalactic” leans into rubbery kicks and driving bass, with cosmic synths twisted just enough to keep things interesting. “Lose Control” is the EP’s rolling minimal moment, led by wiggling synth hooks and deft, precise percussion work. Then “Hello Tunisia” pulls everything apart again, with loose broken beats, fragmented vocal snippets and echoing bongos arranged into something that sounds off kilter but never sloppy.
Becker is a London based German DJ with form on WYS, Serialism and Horizont Audio, and he’s a permanent resident with London crew Ritmo London. This is another solid one for the Frame Music catalogue.
